  • It is her body, it is her choice

    My experience of working on abortion and women’s health and rights in India and South Africa. I had been freelancing for several years when personal reasons and the desire to learn more about health and development issues led me to signing up for a 9-to-5 job. From 2015 onwards, I started working full time with a global health communications and advocacy firm. I enjoyed working on and learning about different health issues and advocacy skills and tools. In 2017, I got an opportunity to manage a project on safe abortion in India and South Africa and this project fueled my passion for women’s rights and human rights.

  • Nervous energy? or the “me first” syndrome?

    Be it while driving, or in any queues at the bank or the airport, we all have encountered the “me first” syndrome. I was recently travelling back to Mumbai from New Delhi. I entered the Delhi airport and stopped for microsecond to look for the Indigo counter, when someone behind me exclaimed “ excuse me !!!” (Three exclamation marks, I know, are redundant but they prove a point here - she was rude !!!)

  • A visit to India’s wine capital : Sula Vineyards in Nashik, Maharashtra

    Who doesn’t like to unwind after a long day with a glass of wine? I have always been a wine person and preferred international wines more than their Indian counterparts as many Indian wines tend to be fruitier. I had never visited India’s own Sula Vineyards until recently. I was looking for a place to escape for the weekend and came across its website. I thought to myself – why not? It would be fun to visit a winery for its beauty alone. I am so glad I went.
